Suddenly, I ask myself this question. How well do I know myself? How well does other know about me?
Let’s see..
1. What’s my favourite drink? Coca-Cola
2. What’s my favourite song? Nothing in mind… Anything goes actually, depending on my mood.
3. Where’s my favourite shopping haunt? Again, I don’t know. Does going to Bangkok to shop counts?
4. What’s the meat that I hate most? Arrr…. This one most of you should know. Pork.
5. What’s my best cooking dish as of now? Hmmmm… should be Japanes curry and porridge? Hahaha….
Kind of silly to do these questions I know.
Thinking of the years back, I realize I like traveling. Wanting to be an air-stewardess is also because of the traveling part. But well, I couldn’t get in, and yes, I’m over that. If I do earn enough, I can always travel, without the need to serve others. :)
Apart from Bangkok, I seldom shop when traveling. The least I spent on shopping was when I went Egypt. The funny thing about me is that when I’m out of town, I don’t bother checking up where the main shopping spots are. If I were to go USA, apart from Coach, I think nothing really fancies me, or I fancy nothing. :P Though USA has OPI nail polishes, VS, A&F etc. Weird weird weird. Sometimes I don’t understand myself either.
Planning for a trip now…. If nothing goes wrong, I’m off to a BIG island in March.

Happy Valentine's Day
Right... I know my post is 'outdated'. Not as 'updated' as I like it to be.
Seriously, what does Valentine's Day means????
To send a card or present to someone you love? To celebrate with your love on this internationally renowned day?
It's sweet looking at people on the streets carrying flowers and to know that the world is still full of people in love.
It's amazing to see people still queuing up for food at 10.30pm to celebrate this day with their valentine. (Yea... i know they queue cos' i finished classes at 9.45pm and saw Orchard's swensens, nydc's long queue).
Dearie came down to fetch me. Surprisingly.
Our first V-day as husband and wife and i had to go classes. wahaha.... the normal me will skip class but i didnt leh.......
cos we already celebrated it on Sunday.
a simple dinner at Bakerzin at Paragon.

Lavender Violet Lime.... interesting drink.... smells like lavender - of course lah.....

Iced Latte - the usual... :P

Summer Salad.....

Linguini in Mushroom Cream Sauce for Moi

Chicken & Mushroom Sandwich for him.... we are mushroom addicts.. :P
And....
How could we forget our pressies? Though each year we say, dont need give la.... but then... hahahha.......
For Him

His favourite brand of shirt - somemore want two-ply one ok......
Then...
What's mine??? Hmmm.....

The usual mysterious box...

Now you see it...

What else can I complain??? My sweetest boy always surprises me.....
Hope you had a great Valentine.
xoxo
Cynthia
P/S: Just learnt from a German friend that xoxo meant lotsa kisses and hugs... (yea... i'm a msn-lingo idiot) :)

Sick... Arggghhh
How does it feel to be having a fever and sore throat? Sian. That was my Sunday night and Monday morning.
Off to the doctor's and back with a 2-day MC. Ha... how nice right??? But i'm seriously hating it. The good part is being able to sleep and boy, did i spend alot of time on my bed.
But.... the worst is yet to be over as I puked badly for 2 hours odd at night.
With just porridge and bread, how much weight have I lost this time, I wonder.
And now... i'm coughing. And i know Brian's gonna be so so irritated by my coughing.... (he's preparing for his exams tomorrow....) So sorry, dearie.. no choice....
Good luck to u, dearie.... :)

Happy New Year....
I know the greetings came in kind of late... keke~~
this year started with a bang....
Watching fireworks at Punggol... abit bit nia...
Drinking Whiskey with green tea, coke, soda....
2008 resolutions???
Nah... nothing.. cos i dont always accomplish them.
N if i do achieve anything, it'll be an accomplishment. ha~~~
Moving house was last year's affair.
Getting married was last year's affair.
Changing job was last year's affair.
What's this year's affair????
Apart from more holiday-ing... (yesh, i love travelling), what else can i look forward to???
Met up with Iris last Saturady for our girl's gossiping and hair cutting.
Cant imagine i knew this girl for like more than 10 years... from the childish secondary school girls to the now mother of 1 (her...)... cant help but to think that we've grown old..... and come a couple more years, we'll be starting with numeral 3. Cannot laugh at people who has '3' in their age anymore...... :P
Wanted to rebond / straighten my hair and to keep it long again...
But... i cut it short. Again.
It got shorter and shorter.
Here you go.... A new year, a new me. To be a better woman in this new year and the years to come......

Last post for 2007?
This might be the last post for the year 2007. A year full of surprises, a year full of enjoyment, a year I will never forget.
Thinking back, 2007 was a good year for me. And being the greedy human, I hope that 2008 will be a better year. :)
How was ur 2007 xmas???
There was no crowd this xmas (to me...) as i was at home, with hubby.
No candlelight dinner, no turkey or honey baked ham.
Just pizza hut's Jingle Joy.
Counting down on the bed, half asleep when at the stroke of midnite, my dearie presented me with my gift.
Very very surprised as i wasnt expecting any pressies.

Couldn't bear to use this yet. Probably will start using it in the new year. A key pouch for our house keys.
And i got this on christmas day.... got to wait an hr at starhub. why is everyone changing phones????
LG Viewty. Some called it the "Iphone killer'. wahahahha.....

Last 2 days in BKK...
day 3 at bangkok...
shopping at high-end shops. for that, i meant, shopping in departmental stores, big shopping centres....
i always head to central chit lom for lingerie shopping. dont ask me why. maybe cos there is this 5% discount card for tourists. maybe it's cos whenever i was there, they always have this promo whereby u spend a certain amt, u get a lucky dip and see if u are lucky to get better discounts for ur next purchase.
well, this time, it was getting stamps and upon spending like 3000 + baht, we got only 4 stamps, which is a 20% discount for our next purchase. but, u know what, buying 3000 baht worth of lingerie is alot lor...... and that is after a 400 baht rebate from wacoal itself.
oops... before that, i had dunkin donuts for breakfast...
Yummy...

Our breakfast...

And half a dozen only costs 109 baht (which is abt s$4.80)...
It's easier to find these snacks now.... they are all located at Siam Paragon basement....
I have a weakness for Thai snacks...

Dinner was at this cosy little place near Novotel Hotel... Authentic Thai Cuisine according to them...

Day 3 was in and out of MBK, browsing thru' Siam Paragon's stores...
And come the last day in BKK, we went MBK again to see if there are any last minute buys.
Not much though. And we headed to the airport pretty early. The new airport was pretty nice, but the food was expensive!!!!!
Home sweet home... (just nice to greet the taxi companies with their newly adjusted midnight fares.... arggghhhhh)

Bangkok again? Why not???!!! haha.... Hubby say, once a year should be ok.... :P

Day 2
Day 2 was spent at Pratunam area.... at Platinum Fashion Mall and Pantip Plaza...
Platinum mall was full of shops selling clothes at wholesale prices if u get 3 pieces and above... but even buying for just 1 piece, it's cheaper compared to here.
Pantip Plaza is just like our Sim Lim Square. So, I need not explain more, right?
Fried oysters.... look at the oysters... bet u cant get as much oysters here... for just sgd3.

Me and my Pad Thai again...

Shark fin soup and bird nest.... (think most pple patronising this store are Singaporeans... ) Too expensive for their locals, but considered cheap to us....

And banana with chocolate crepe from basement...

Ohhh... and the hotel was sweet enough to give this to us... for our so-called honeymoon.... :)

Dinner was at Coca...

Too busy eating and fighting with live tiger prawns to take any other pictures....
See... told you that this trip is to eat and eat.... :)
Some of our loots for the day...

Stay tuned for the rest of the 2 days in BKK.

Bangkok Trip.... Day 1
Bangkok... a place where i went to eat and shop.
Together with Brian, we took Jetstar's earliest flight and touched down at BKK at around 8.25am their time. With 2 luggages weighing less than 15kg (i think so), wonder how heavy we came back with??? hmmm...
At Changi Airport waiting to board the plane...

Our nest at BKK... Novotel Siam Square

On the way to Chatuchak Market.... In their BTS

This time, we only walked for like 2 hrs? We were sweating (yes, their weather is so hot at around 30 odd degreesss and now it's winter there.... imagine...). Maybe it was becos we were getting more and more selective of clothes, thus the short shopping and maybe it was becos we are hitting Platinum Mall the next day for better shopping....
Hungry us went Foodloft at Central Chit Lom for brunch.... (hmmm, although we had A&W waffles before we left for Chatuchak in the morning, we were still hungry) Ha... it's a gaining weight 4D3N Bkk trip.

Pad Thai... Famous Thai fried noodles (think u can get this from anywhere, even roadside stalls)

Dinner at Cabbages and Condoms. Finally, after wanting to go there for so many times.
The BTS to the restaurant.... got to walk a little after alighting though.

Doesn't this look like the famous and expensive hotel in Dubai????

Our food and drinks....

All of it costs us like 700 baht which is abt sgd30...
Happily makan-ing...

Santa Condom or Condom Santa???? :P

Condom Guy and Lady...

Read this.... hahha.....

This is cute... and educational???

And so, it was bye bye to cabbages and condoms...

And that marks the end of day 1 which coincides with our wedding 3rd month-sary.... :)
