Bangkok Trip.... Day 1

Bangkok... a place where i went to eat and shop.

Together with Brian, we took Jetstar's earliest flight and touched down at BKK at around 8.25am their time. With 2 luggages weighing less than 15kg (i think so), wonder how heavy we came back with??? hmmm...

This time, we only walked for like 2 hrs? We were sweating (yes, their weather is so hot at around 30 odd degreesss and now it's winter there.... imagine...). Maybe it was becos we were getting more and more selective of clothes, thus the short shopping and maybe it was becos we are hitting Platinum Mall the next day for better shopping....

Hungry us went Foodloft at Central Chit Lom for brunch.... (hmmm, although we had A&W waffles before we left for Chatuchak in the morning, we were still hungry) Ha... it's a gaining weight 4D3N Bkk trip.



Pad Thai... Famous Thai fried noodles (think u can get this from anywhere, even roadside stalls)



Dinner at Cabbages and Condoms. Finally, after wanting to go there for so many times.

And that marks the end of day 1 which coincides with our wedding 3rd month-sary.... :)

A few more days and it'll be us together for 2 years.

Yea, 2 years. Short some of you may think. But lotsa things happened within these 2 years..... like, buying a house, a home called our own, getting married. what's next? a junior brian on the way??? wahahhaha......

funny how 2 persons get together sometimes....

u are so tall, i'm so short. we're almost 30cm apart. (everyone's asking me if i ever felt tired of looking up to u... but i've never had that problem.... hmmmmm)

u can be such an active person and i can be such a couch potato.

u are never afraid to approach someone for help or directions, i'm always feeling pai seh.....

well, i guess, that's called opposites attract. :)

I was at Shangri-la Hotel yesterday!!!

Was at The Line for the buffet. It's not called the 'mother of all buffets' by some people for nothing...

The food is fabulous... the spread is...... wow.....

that was the first time i saw so many types of oysters and tried so many types of oysters..... well, it was oysters night.

Well, i was there cos it was my hubby's Birthday!!!!

Status Change....

Finally settled down in my new house. A new asset under my name. But also means a new loan under my name also. Ha,... got to work my a** off to clear my debts..... interesting.....

gonna be a long post.

cos there will be tonnes of photos.... from the photoshoot (yes... i managed to keep them off the blog for a couple of months. on purpose :P) to the moving of house (er.... not new news cos you might have caught it from my hubby's (yes... can call hubby now... hahah) and to the actual wedding day.

Kudos to those who made my wedding day a memorable one. and i'm really proud to announce that i did not 'over-run' despite the very hectic program schedule. which couple would wana be like us? gatecrashing, fetching the bride, going to new house, outdoor photo-taking, makeup changes, tea ceremony, solemnization and wedding lunch all on one day. and it's within one afternoon. *applause* very very happy everything was in order - though not 100%. special thanks to my families, sister, brian's brother, jianrong, royston, rena, yanping, michelle, agnes.....

September 16, 2007. A day to remember....

Couldn't sleep for the past few nights before this day. Was it becos' my dear nephew was bunking in with me?

Anyway, woke up at 2.30am before the MUA came at 4am. Yes, u saw it right. it's 4 am in the morning..... :P

yea... what women can do.... the power of love...



mastermind at work..... dont ask me what were the games, cos i only knew bits and pieces here and there. got to wait for the video and watch it before i know....

These days... been pretty relax. But the scary days are approaching... OMG.....

And worse... i'm kind of not feeling too good these days... woke up with very bad vomitting (nope.. i'm not preggie....) on saturday. vomitted till i had to lie a while in between bathing, changing and packing my bag... had to go out cos i promised dearie that i'll be there for his game...... and i'm glad i went cos i felt better after that.... dont know if it's cos there is more 'ren qi' or cos i had stuff to eat there... wahahah

Guo Da Li

Guo Da Li in a few hours time...

Looking at Brian's blog, i feel so 'ashamed' of myself... he seems ready... even photos taken and uploaded. whereas, i'm just home from work and prata at jln kayu (my dinner cum supper).

anyway, i'll try take photos tomorrow and upload if i can....

Guo Da Li is a day so debate-able. Whatever the reason for such a day, if the elders want it, we have to abide to it.

I still remember the day my sis had her GDL. I went out early in the morning for a super early breakfast with a friend at Geylang, eating yu-tiao. Haha...

Can you imagine? at that time, i was only a bridesmaid....

1 month odd down the road, i'll be the bride...

time flies..... it also means that i've grown older.

looking back, sometimes i feel that i still behave like a kid. a never grown up kid. it seems like there wasnt any difference between now and the last few years. but in fact, alot of things have happened. alot have changed. (im past 26 ok... no longer the always 21 or 22.... hahah)

what sense am i talking. it's 2 am already. i'm maybe drowsy, information overloaded even though i had a coffee, tea, chinese tea and teh halia, all within the 15 hrs time-frame.

Was I too Anxious...

No wonder people always say that waiting if always a torture. It's true. Really.

Used to always hear people saying 'wait for people will age easier' (in hokkien). actually, i still hear that now....

but this time, it's not the waiting for people that's causing me to age. haha...

it's the wait for my flat....

am i being too anxious?

by right, in the eyes of the law, the waiting period is 6-8 weeks before i get the keys and be the official and legal owner of whichever flat i'm buying.

but... at each and every possible opportunity that allows me to obtain it first, i will jump at it.

to think of it, i'm kind of emabarassed. in the 1st place, i was the one who didnt so-called wana rush or push the seller into moving out early cos i wana have a 'win-win' situation.

now... i sound like some naggy auntie, trying my ways to find out if they will vacate the flat earlier. and yesh, though they are.... the legal papers and procedures cant be settled until 6-8 weeks later. well, the fastest that this 1st class 'service provider' is 4-6 weeks. OMG... and i thought they are so well interlinked with each other..... anyway..... whatever will be will be.....

happier note... i went ikea yesterday and spend a small little bomb.

it was suppose to be having the annual ikea sale when people from all walks of life will crowd at this place. but hey, traffic wasnt that bad on a Monday morning. i managed to eat the meatballs in peace (with no one standing beside or behind me, giving me that hurried look and aiming for my seats the moment my buttocks are up) haah.....

coffee table is grabbed and no, it was not an on sale item. apparently, all the things i got were not really on sale.

Wedding Preparations...

Wedding preparations keeping me occupied these days.... (let's not talk about work....)

Got my invites... if you had read Brian's blog (he's more 'updated'), so get ready to receive my red bomb!!!!

Settled my photos... didn't top up alot, compared to alot of couples I heard. Cos.. I'm not that pretty in those photos... wahahah.... no la.... i just find those we really liked. Now waiting to see the layout and get it printed.

Had my food tasting at the restaurant today. Shiok... yummy. haha... hope the standard doesnt drop on that day. keeping my fingers crossed. And yes, I did take photos, but i cant spoil the mood right.... must keep you gals excited ma.....

Went for the first lesson of the marriage preparation course. Did the MBTI. It's a personality test. Pretty interesting. Learnt about it in poly... but, I forgot what it's really about. Talking about returning everything to the teacher after leaving... :P Going back to the lesson tomorrow to see how i fare in that test. I asked Dear, what if I realised that what I answered on Saturday is different from what I think i will answer any other day. Maybe I have a spilt personality (am I using the right words???) Really hope this course will help in preparing us for the next big step.

One thing that they - the speakers - emphasize. In marriage, there is no U-turn. Never ever think of the 'D' word. Hands up for this. No matter how common this is these days, I think all marriages should work out if both parties are committed to make it work. Commitment - a very big word. easy to spell, easy to pronouce. but when put into use.... it can get so difficult sometimes.

Looking forward to the next few lessons.. hoping it'll keep me attentive and interested. hahah......

Next week, i'm going for my 1st appointment at HDB. Yippee... the wait is finally over soon... cant wait for it. but that also mean that it's a new responsibility.

Been searching high and low for furnitures. seem like it's so difficult to get sofa and dining table within my budget. well, u see... i don't mind changing furniture in a few years' time. so, therotically, i do not need such an expensive set of furniture. so.... i need to find something that i think is worth the depreciation and i wouldnt feel sad and 'it's a waste' when i need to change. so, for now... if i still cant find what we want. guess you pple need to sit on the floor should i invite u over. hahahahah..........

trying to clear my stuff slowly. whenever i have time. and i'm trying to sell them cos i've been too impulsive, thus the buys. so, if you folks see what you like or see what you want, let me know. For you folks, price is negotiable. Wana get rid of these stuff so that I can move into my new hse with lesser stuff. Cannot throw cos it's very wasteful. Cannot give cos I very stingy ma.... (hahahahahha)

Clinique eyeshadow. Used a couple of times nia.... still look very new. think retailing at around S$30 odd. let me know your best price.


The Body Shop blusher. Also used only a couple of times. Cant remember the retail price but should be ard S$20. Let me know your offer la.....


More to come.... I need time to clear and pack and take photos and upload... (which is what lazy me doesnt really like to do always....)

Very Busy....

Morning folks.

Sorry for not updating my blog. And.. I know you guys will soon forget about the existence of this blog if I were to continue neglecting it. Haha.....

Been very busy these days.....

All of a sudden, I'm back to the commercial line, doing AP, AR, stock-take as well as doing my own arch files, dividers blah blah.... Think I haven't been doing these stuff for a year... But it's ok.... Cos' I also do more things than that... And such things, I doubt I will do them when I was in the previous co....

These days, because of the late nights, I've been staying with Brian more often. Cos' his house is way nearer to my new office than my own house. Hahaha.. But I always make it a point to go home on Sundays for mummy's home-cooked food.... :P

Been wasting alot of money also.

Did I say I bought a mattress... (expensive one...), a Sony LCD, digital camera (oh yea... finally a new old to replace the small little cam with small little LCD screen), bedsheets, quilt covers, cushions... Every weekend, I'm like spending a few hundreds... haha..

Oh yea, and mummy say must wear new clothes after wedding... so i need to find clothes also.

Sorry folks, no photos even though I had my new camera. Reason, too lazy to take.

Going for my food tasting next Sunday. Wonder how it will be like for 2 sides parents to meet... hahah...

And... my nephew is so so naughty. but so so cute.... can't wait to hear him call me 'yi yi'. :P
